Antiracist training to combat anti-blackness and white supremacy

A multiracial teaching and facilitation team to deliver antiracist training

Headquartered in Minnesota, we are a multiracial team experienced in anti-racist training. We have conducted trainings for a variety of educational, corporate, and non-profit organizations, some of which have a degree of racial diversity and some of which are predominantly white.

Our belief is that effective antiracist training needs a two pronged approach to address the racial dynamics that are found in every organization:

  • The sustained experience of institutional racism by black, indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) and the need for them to find sustenance and healing to survive rampant anti-blackness

  • The unwitting racism enacted by whites who are unaware of how they reproduce and support white supremacy through their daily actions and their acceptance of racist structures and policies

Whether you’re a small or large organization we can offer a tailored training to meet your size and budget. We conduct short term workshops but also long term consultations in which we advise on policy, reward structures and institutional interventions and also meet with accountability groups and support networks.

Areas of Practice

Anti-Blackness

This element of our training focuses on uncovering the psychic, emotional and physical costs of experiencing daily racism in an organization. We develop networks of support for BIPOC who face constant micro-aggressions and have to negotiate white spaces set up to maintain white supremacist policies and practices

White Supremacy

White members of an organization need to be aware of how they have learned white supremacy - the belief that whites, because of their supposed higher intelligence, should naturally be in positions of power and authority. We help whites understand what it means to be white, and how to develop a antiracist white identity

Multiracial Facilitation

Organizations and communities need models of what genuine communication across racial differences looks like. As a black woman and white man we show how to bring our very different experiences to bear on the common project of dismantling racism. We demonstrate critique of, and curiosity about, each other’s thinking and actions, and show how we negotiate the power dynamics between us that are created by our very different identities
